About Me.

When you're a young child growing up you always have big dreams about what you might want to be some day. For as long as I can remember, the only thing I really dreamt about being when I grew up was being a mom. Although I am not one yet that is still a dream of mine but until that day, I know I've wanted to spend my life working with children, helping parents in any way I can. And making sure that every child is cared for by caregivers that not only value their safety but their imagination, their spark, their laugh, and their always growing young minds.

My very first experience with early childhood education was my very first year of high school. Entering a vocational high school, I knew right away that I wanted to be a part of the childcare program, and that is exactly where I spent most of the next four years. Throughout high school I worked hands on in the lab preschool and also learned child development in the classroom. When I graduated, I got my diploma and also all the credentials I needed to work in any public preschool.

From there I got my first full time nanny job with a four-month-old baby that I loved and spent the next year and a half doing. Then after saving some money, I decided it was time to start college and got a less demanding job as a part-time preschool teacher. I spent over a year teaching in two different preschools while getting my associate's degree and then came covid. Preschools were closed for a while, I finished getting my associate's degree and decided to go to Umass Boston to get my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Secondary Education. I got a full time nanny job in Boston for two families and worked all day while going to classes at night. I moved to Boston on my own, got my puppy, and survived covid.

I then moved to central Massachusetts where I got another full time nanny job, finished getting my degree, and even got my real estate license. Now I am back living in Bristol County working as a nanny for two young children realizing there are so many families I want to help but not enough time in the day. Over the years I have babysat for over 10 different families, nannied for 5, and worked with even more children in three separate preschool settings and I have loved working with each and every child I have ever worked with, and I want to be there for even more families.

This is what lead me to opening Kia Care, a place where families can be paired with experienced, trusted, caregivers. Children are every parent's whole world, we understand that it's hard to find caregiver's you can trust whole-heartedly to take the best care of your young children and that is why we are here to help. Every caregiver employed by Kia Care has been through background checks, CORIs, Massachusetts state training, CPR and first aid certifications, childcare training and have all been through a multi step interview process. Raising children is extremely hard, and it's true what they say: it takes a village. Let us help you in any way we can, whether you only need a few hours of childcare or a whole week. Whether you need someone to watch the kids while you're out or you just need an extra set of hands. Whether you need help with the kids or help organizing and setting up a nursery before a new baby comes. Whatever you may need, Kia Care is here to help. Contact Us today to find out more.
